Candy Bar

I absolutely adore candy and anything with sugar in it. It is no surprise then that I am a big promoter of the candy bar. Although one might think that candy is inexpensive, think again! You have to buy the apothecarian jars ($15-500) each and then buy enough candy for each jar to fill it twice. The best place I have seen candy for is candyarehouse.com. It sorts the candies by theme, category, and color. I think they add a whimsical and innocent touch to any wedding. Yummm!

Lemon Blossom Designs Is Starting Up
I am so excited, I have a logo, my website is being made (custom, by the fabulous Ocean Front Studios), and I just ordered my business cards. It is finally happening! Also, I am working with the most adorable girl on her wedding, Ashley Transtrum, who is getting married September 25th, 2009. Her chic colors are ivory, black, and gold, with accents of diamonds and pearls. Talk about Audrey Hepburn style! Can't wait.

The Signature Lemon Blossom

This bouquet was probably one of my favorite because of the light zest that it irradiated around the room! It was for an April bride from Oregon who wanted soft yellows with cobalt blue... I think we got it right! The bouquet contains Duchesse de Nemours peonies, double ruffled cream tulips, cream sweetpea, and a soft geranium collar. Check out later for more pictures from the wedding!

The D.I. Bouquet

My D.I. Belt Bouquet
For a school final project our teacher said that we had to go to D.I. (a second-hand store) and find an item that would not normally be in a bouquet and incorporate it. Well I went to D.I. and could not find anything!!! Everything was hideous, until I hit the belt rack. This really got my brain going, there were so many colors and styles! I finally decided on classic tans, navys, and stripes and decided that my bouquet would have a nautical theme. This is how it turned out and I LOVE IT. It has huge china mums, luscious hydrangea, sweet freesia, Dutch double ruffled cream tulips, ranunculus, crystal blush anemones, and a rarity, helleborus. I liked using the belts so much that I actually might use belts to wrap bouquets again! I think it adds another extra detail. Love, love, love it.
